"Yeshua with Rose". 5' x 4' on board. Worked on over a thirteen year period it originally had a letter M (for Magdalene) pressed into the surface. I was inspired by aspects of deep wisdom hidden within Christianity through the Gnostic Gospels. Painted on a prepared surface of plaster and sawdust, I enjoyed working into it with power tools in a physical way akin to carpentry before bringing out the image and refining it with acrylic paints, inks and finally gold leaf. The blue relates to fluidity, spirit and purity in an image of regeneration and rebirth. This painting has been shown in several private viewings as well as being exhibited in Ripon Cathedral. £2750 for the original.

El Khidr. A mystical figure in Islam, messenger, prophet, guardian of the sea and teacher of secret knowledge. He has been linked to Moses, Elijah, St. George and John the Baptist among many others. Painted over a period of twenty years on board textured with plaster, sawdust and collage and left out in the elements for several weeks to partially disintegrate and allow nature to contribute to its multi-dimensional appearance, before being reworked with acrylics and inks and sealed with acrylic varnish. The initial inspiration was my experience of the cosmic event of the 1999 eclipse. £1200 for the original. Mounted copies available, £30.
